Drink driving campaigns are often launched on a seasonal basis during the festive season and summer barbeque months. However, motorists in Bromley have been put on notice that the crackdown on drink driving and drug driving continues throughout 2016.
Figures have been released from “Operation Dragonfly”, a year long joint strategy between Surrey and Sussex police forces intended to deal with drink and drugged drivers. These revealed that during Christmas 2015 in Bromley alone, 118 people were arrested, 76 were charged and over 1200 breath tests were carried out.

The police in Bromley have been providing live updates on Twitter naming and in some cases showing the faces of those who were stopped and where.
